Throwback Thursday, Fandom Edition: "These are the things I would do for love."

I wrote about the intersection of my shipping obsession and my music obsession in the early 2000s.

Until the concert in question, I did not actually know that "Savage Garden" was a reference to Anne Rice (I think that either Elle or my housemate pointed that out), so hearing the phrase in the recent Interview With The Vampire series was sort of a reverse "I understood that reference!" moment.

YESSSS, I loved and still love Savage Garden. I'm pretty sure I knew them before I knew the Anne Rice books and was over the moon when I realized the reference.

"I Want You" was a needle drop in the episode of Supernatural that introduced an AU Sam and Dean, which deeply entertained and absolutely delighted me. I mined the song for fic titles for the two pieces of fanfic I subsequently wrote with that AU Sam and Dean as characters. XD
