Throwback Thursday, Fandom Edition: "Making these movies til the end of time..."

In honor of the upcoming Nerd Holiday (Sunday, May the Fourth Be With Us!), I shared some of my feelings about Star Wars. (To paraphrase Carrie Fisher, I probably had least five feelings - sometimes as many as seven.)

I found an old '80s Star Wars fanfic magazine in the sci-fi library and let me tell you, I did indeed read the April Fool's Luke/Chewbacca fic, yes I did.

INCREDIBLE. I haven't checked, but it's very likely that some people ship that pairing in a non-prank context, and I love that for them.
