I shared some early impressions of the BBC's Sherlock, another fandom that I am unlikely to revisit but still enjoyed while I was there.

I remember when the first episodes came out and we were like, "Hey, this seems neat!" We had no idea what lay in store, hahaha

Parts of the show genuinely were neat, and I still enjoy reading/watching/listening to critical examinations of its flaws and strengths.
