Tuesday Top Five: The Year Behind Us
Dec. 24th, 2024 03:35 pmHere are some things that I’m proud to have accomplished in 2024.
1. I arranged a lot of the children’s programming at my library, including regular musical performances and two visits from a character impersonator, and also made sure that appearances from other guest presenters, which my former supervisor booked before she left, went smoothly.
2. I sent about 200 postcards to voters in Pennsylvania. (Yes, even though the majority of that state voted for Trump and probably decided the election, I’m still glad that I wrote those cards and I’ll do it again if I have the chance.)
3. I learned to frost cupcakes using a piping bag.
4. I figured out creative ways to mend a friend’s T-shirts.
5. I wrote over 13,000 words of fanfic, including in at least one fandom that I’d never tried before.
