This is a good list (and I'm very biased) I searched in my memory and came almost empty for such a list. It jumps from a Three Little Pig Disney kids book spinoff (that also had magical glasses, ha ha), to the Star Wars novels in middle school, to Le Horla, that I read when I was 14 but is supposed to be serious adult horror.
